Pet Commissions

Over the years, I have painted many commissioned portraits; mostly animals, but also a few people.

Whether it is your child, your favorite childhood pet, your current furry friend or just a beautiful animal that you want a keepsake of, let me know.

Below are samples of a few of the commissioned pieces I have painted in the past as well as some subjects that were just too cute to pass up.

If you want to commission a portrait, I will need to know the desired size, whether it will be a painting of the head, full body, or full body and background, along with several photographs of the subject. The photographs can be emailed or mailed to me. From that, I will be able to determine a price for you. Please call me at 434-299-5807 or email me at: reflectiveglow@msn.com with the above specifications and any questions and we can get started immediately with your own portrait.

The best time to take a pet's photograph is on a cloudy but bright day; this cuts down on harsh shadows. Try to get on the pet's level and take several photos without using the flash.

I'm sure you realize how unusual it is for me to paint people. The opportunity came for    me to paint this cute little girl with pigtails
and her newborn brother; their mom and I     both loved the completed painting.
